Privacy policy

Aniimo Trade is a fan-made site. It is not affiliated with the makers or publishers of Aniimo. This page says what we keep about you and why.

What we collect

When you sign in. Your email address, and if you sign in with Google, the name and profile picture Google shares with us. We use them to create your account and to send you the emails described below. We never see your password.

What you type. Your username, display name, server, platform, in-game ID, the hours you usually play, your time zone, the Aniimo you mark as spare or wanted with the grade, gender and form you give each copy, the personality bonuses shown on a copy, your posts and replies, and the messages you send to other players on the site.

What happens on the site. When you were last active, trades you have completed or not completed, reports you file, players you block, and images you upload.

Technical logs. Standard request logs (IP address, browser, page, time) are kept for a short period to keep the site running and to stop abuse. We do not run advertising trackers.

Which pages get visited. We count page views ourselves, on our own servers. There is no third-party analytics, no advertising network, and nothing that follows you to other sites.

• If your browser asks us not to, we do not count you at all. We honour Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track. When either is switched on, nothing about your visit is recorded.
• Signed out, a visit is counted against a scrambled identifier worked out from your IP address and browser. Your IP address itself is not stored alongside it, the identifier cannot be turned back into you, and it changes every month, so we cannot follow one person from one month to the next.
• Signed in, page views are linked to your account, so we can see where people get stuck and fix it.
• One small first-party cookie remembers which page you first arrived on, so we can tell which pages bring people to the site. It holds a page address, nothing that identifies you, and it is cleared once you sign in.

A few taps and screenshot reads. We also count a handful of actions, under the same rules (nothing if your browser asks us not to, linked to your account if you are signed in): opening a share sheet and which app you picked, making your binder public from it, and what you did with the "snap your stat screen" tip. For each stat screenshot we keep how the read went — which Aniimo, grade and gender it found, how long it took and whether it became a copy — but never the image itself in that record. We use these only to see which features work and to fix the ones that don't. These records are kept for about thirteen months.

What you search for. The search box on the posts page records what you looked for, as part of the page address and under exactly the rules above — if your browser asks us not to count you, nothing is recorded. We keep the words only once you stop typing, not keystroke by keystroke, and anything containing an "@" or a web address is dropped rather than shortened, so an email pasted into the box is never stored. We use it for one thing: to see what players are looking for and not finding.

We use this to see which pages are worth writing, which parts of trading people abandon, and whether the site is working. Records are kept for about four months and then deleted.

What other players can see

• Your username, display name, server, platform, completed-trade count, and roughly when you were last around. These are shown on your page to anyone who has its address, whether or not your binder is shown.
• Your binder is shown by default. Your spares and wants appear to other players in Binders (every binder on your server changed in the last 7 days, newest change first), on your page, and beside the creatures on their market pages, and search engines may list your page. "Show my binder" in your profile settings turns all of that off: with it off, your spares and wants are not shown anywhere and search engines are told not to list your page. This changed on 26 September 2026; before then, binders were hidden unless you turned them on.
• "Let players add you as a friend" puts an Add button on your page. With it off there is no button, and nobody is told that you turned it off.
• Your in-game ID is shown only to a player you are actively trading with or have accepted as a friend, so they can add you inside the game.
• Your play hours are shown to other players in their own time zone. Your time zone itself is not shown.
• Messages are visible only to the people in that conversation, and to a moderator if the conversation is reported.

Emails

We only email you about things that happened to you on the site, and about signing in. There is no newsletter.

Who else handles your data

We use hosting, database, sign-in, and email delivery providers to run the site. They process your data only to provide their service to us.

Stat screenshots. If you add a copy from a screenshot of the in-game stat panel, the image is sent to Google's Gemini service to read the grade, gender, name and four personality bonuses. Under Google's terms for the tier we use, Google may use submitted images to improve its models, so only upload a screenshot of the in-game stat panel and nothing personal. The screenshot is cropped to the stat panel and kept as proof on that copy, where anyone who can see the copy can open it. When the copy is removed, traded or expires, the screenshot is deleted within about a week. A screenshot that never becomes a copy is deleted after a day. We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with anyone else.

How long we keep it

Listings that are not kept active are removed automatically, and their screenshots with them. Page-view records are kept for about four months. Everything else stays until you delete your account.

Deleting your account

Email support@aniimoeggs.com from the address you signed up with and say "delete my account". Your profile, listings, posts, replies, messages, images, and the page-view records linked to your account are removed; the counted taps and screenshot reads above lose their link to you. Other players' completed-trade counts are kept as numbers only, with nothing that identifies you.

Children

The site is for players aged 13 and over. If you believe a younger child has an account, email support@aniimoeggs.com and we will remove it.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that matters, the date at the top changes.
