How trading works in Aniimo
Trading in Aniimo is friends-only and gated by affinity. Here is the whole flow, the limits, what can and cannot be traded, and how this site fits in.
Trading in Aniimo is not a marketplace. It is something two friends do, standing next to each other in the world, after they have spent enough time together for the game to let them. That shapes everything on this site.
The flow, step by step
- Be friends in game. Add the other player through Astra or their profile. The exchange only opens from a friend's profile.
- Raise affinity. Each friendship has an affinity level. Level 2 unlocks trading basic Lumin-stage forms; level 4 unlocks regional and weather forms. Seven things raise it: chatting, meeting in the world, trading, teaming up, fighting together, giving gifts, and visiting each other's Home. See how to raise affinity fast.
- Own a spare. You can only give away a form you own at least two of. The game keeps your last one.
- Meet and swap. Both players meet in the world, open the exchange, name the offered and requested Aniimo, and confirm. Each side spends a daily swap attempt.
- Wait out the lock. A traded Aniimo cannot be traded again for 30 days.
What this site adds
The game gives you no way to find someone who has what you want and wants what you have. That is the gap.
- The box. Every creature is a sticker. Tap once to mark a spare, twice to mark a want. A spare is open to any fair offer unless you narrow it.
- Matches. Players on your server who want your spares or have your wants, best first. Online players float to the top so you can meet now.
- The handshake. A trade here is a short checklist both of you tick: proposed, accepted, ready, done. It carries the affinity level the form needs, a chat with one-tap replies, and each other's in-game ID.
- Friends. Affinity takes days, so the Friends tab pairs you with players on your server who want to grind it with someone. Pair up first, and any trade between you is already open when you need it.
- Posts. Looking-for and for-trade posts double as listings, and showcases of catches carry creature tags that link back to each market.
Trust
Nothing on this site can enforce a trade in the game. What it can do is remember. A trade counts only when both players confirm it, so a completed count cannot be faked alone. Lending an Aniimo to be evolved and returned (a round trip) is only open to players with two completed swaps, and a lender can mark it not returned, which stays on the borrower's record. Report and block are on every conversation. Read how to trade safely before your first one.
What is still uncertain
Everything above was reported by players of the closed betas. The launch build may change limits, levels or the exchange itself. Where the game changes, this page changes with it, and the market pages show what has been re-checked.
Questions
- Can you trade in Aniimo?
- Yes. Aniimo can be traded between players who are friends in game. Trading was disabled during one closed beta and enabled in later ones, so the details below come from the most recent test and are re-checked against the live game from 16 September 2026.
- Do you have to be friends to trade?
- Yes. The exchange opens from a friend's profile, and how much you can trade depends on your affinity level with that friend.
- What affinity level do you need to trade?
- Level 2 opens basic Lumin-stage forms. Level 4 opens regional and weather forms. Higher affinity also raises the chance of an Illusory variant appearing in a trade.
- Can you trade across servers?
- Not as far as any test has shown. Friends lists and meet-ups are per server, so Aniimo Trade only matches players on the same server.
- Can you trade Alphas, starters or eggs?
- Eggs are not tradeable. Aniimo hatched from Bond Pact sealed eggs are bound to the account and cannot be traded, per the official FAQ. Whether Alphas and starters can be traded depends on owning two of that form; we will confirm at launch.
- Is there a limit on trades?
- Each player spends a daily swap attempt per trade, and a traded Aniimo is locked from further trades for 30 days.
- What does Aniimo Trade actually do?
- It finds you the other player. You mark spares and wants, we match you with someone on your server, you chat and raise affinity, and you confirm when the swap is done. The trade itself happens in the game.
