Affinity levels in Aniimo and what each one unlocks
What affinity is, the levels that gate trading, which forms open at level 2 and level 4, and how Illusory chances rise with it.

Affinity is the number that decides what you and one particular friend are allowed to trade. It is tracked per friendship, so a level-4 friend and a level-1 friend are two different trading partners even if you own the same creatures.
The levels that matter for trading

Two rules sit on top of the level. You can only give away a form you own at least two of, and a traded Aniimo is locked for 30 days. See how trading works for the whole flow.
Why the gate exists
The design pushes trading toward people you actually play with. It makes scams expensive, since a stranger would have to invest days before they could take anything from you, and it makes the social layer the point rather than a chore. It also means a trade with a stranger is really two projects: reach the level, then swap.
That is why this site has a Friends tab. Pair up with a player on your server who wants to grind affinity, and by the time either of you has a spare the other wants, the gate is already open.
Illusory chances
Several beta players reported that the higher your affinity with a partner, the more likely a trade produces an Illusory variant. Treat this as a bonus, not a strategy: nobody has published rates, and we will only show a number once one has been measured on the live game.
What to do with this
- Before proposing a trade for a regional or weather form, check your level with that friend. If it is under 4, start with a basic form or grind first.
- Keep two of anything you might want to trade away. One is not tradeable.
- On a trade here, the ready step shows the level the form needs and lets you record where you are, so both of you know how far there is to go.
