Affinity levels in Aniimo and what each one unlocks
What affinity is, the three tiers that gate trading, what opens at Good Friend, Close Friend and Best Friend, and the rules that sit on top of the level.

Affinity is the number that decides what you and one particular friend are allowed to trade. It is tracked per friendship, so a level-4 friend and a level-1 friend are two different trading partners even if you own the same creatures.
The levels that matter for trading
The game names these tiers on the Friend Tree. This site numbers them, so both are below.

Level 3 is the one most often left out, and it matters more than it sounds. Most creatures are not at their Lumin stage, so Good Friend is narrower than it looks: if the creature you want has already evolved, you need Close Friend, not Good Friend.
Three rules sit on top of the level. You must keep at least one of a species, so your last copy cannot be given away. A traded Aniimo is locked for 30 days. And you can trade at most five times a day with a friend. See how trading works for the whole flow.
Why the gate exists
The design pushes trading toward people you actually play with. It makes scams expensive, since a stranger would have to invest days before they could take anything from you, and it makes the social layer the point rather than a chore. It also means a trade with a stranger is really two projects: reach the level, then swap.
That is why this site has a Friends tab. Pair up with a player on your server who wants to grind affinity, and by the time either of you has a spare the other wants, the gate is already open.
What affinity does not unlock
Raising the level widens which forms can move. It does not touch the hard exclusions. Sparkling, Prismana and Alpha Aniimo cannot be traded at any level, and no amount of grinding changes that. See which rare Aniimo can be traded.
Illusory
Players can enter an Illusory Friends state with each other, and while it holds, an exchange is reported to give both sides an Illusory Aniimo. An Illusory is cosmetic, with no effect on stats or potential.
What to do with this
- Before proposing a trade for an area or weather form, check your level with that friend. If it is under 4, start with a basic form or grind first.
- Check the stage of what you want. An evolved basic form needs Close Friend, not Good Friend.
- Keep at least one of any species. Your last copy cannot be given away.

- Affinity is a per-friend level that grows as two players spend time together in game. It is not a global reputation; you have a separate affinity with each friend.
- What affinity level do you need to trade?

- Can you trade at New Friend rank?
- No. Trading is blocked entirely until you reach Good Friend.
- Does a higher level unlock Sparkling or Prismana?
- No. Sparkling, Prismana and Alpha Aniimo cannot be traded at any affinity level. No amount of grinding opens them.
