How to trade safely in Aniimo

The scams that show up in every creature-trading community, why Aniimo's affinity gate blunts most of them, and the habits that keep you safe on the rest.

Reported by players of the closed betas. Re-checked against the live game from 16 Sept 2026; anything that changes is corrected here first.

Aniimo's trade design does most of the work. A stranger has to spend days raising affinity with you before they can take anything, and a swap moves both creatures in a single exchange. What is left is the human part, and that has a short list of fixes.

The three ways it goes wrong

The wrong thing in the window. You agreed on Sparkling; the exchange shows plain. You agreed on 9/10 potential; it is 4/10. Read the exchange window as if you had never spoken. Say the form, the variant and the potential in chat first, then check every one of them before you confirm.

The favour that does not come back. A round trip means lending. Nothing in the game forces a return, and the 30-day lock means you will wait a month to find out. Only lend to a player with a record, and never lend your only copy of anything.

The ID that is not theirs. Someone claims an in-game ID that belongs to a different, trusted player. Add the ID from the ticket, then confirm in game that the person you meet is the one you were chatting with.

What the site does for you

A trade counts as completed only when both players confirm it. Nobody can pad their own record.
Borrowing is only open after two completed swaps.
A lender can mark a round trip not returned. That mark shows on the borrower's profile and on every ticket they appear on.
New accounts cannot post links and can post twice a day until their first completed trade or their first week.
Three unresolved reports hide a post or reply automatically.
Report and block are on every chat, post and profile. A blocked player cannot match with you or see you.

Habits that cost nothing

Do the first trade with a new partner at the smallest stake. A basic form you have three of.
Keep the whole conversation on the site until you meet in game. It is what a moderator can read if something goes wrong.
Before a rare swap, check the ticket: completed trades, not-returned marks, and how long they have been around.
Never share account credentials, codes or anything that is not an in-game ID. Nothing here ever asks for them.
