Trade evolution round trips - trade, evolve, trade back

How two friends evolve each other's Aniimo through a round trip, what the 30-day lock and the two-of-a-form rule mean for it, and how the site keeps lenders safe.

Reported by players of the closed betas. Re-checked against the live game from 16 Sept 2026; anything that changes is corrected here first.

A round trip is the trade that is really a favour. Your Aniimo goes to a friend, they evolve it, and it comes back. Nobody ends up with a new creature; one of you ends up with an evolved one.

When you need it

  • An evolution that a friend can trigger and you cannot yet, because of level, region, or an item they have and you do not.
  • Completing your collection without giving anything up: lend, let them register the evolved form, get it back.
  • The reverse: evolving a friend's creature for them.

The rules that bite

Two of a form. You can only trade away a form you own two of. That applies to the lender at the start and to the borrower at the return, so the borrower must not be down to one copy of the evolved form when it is time to send it back.

The 30-day lock. A traded Aniimo cannot be traded again for 30 days. In a round trip that means the return cannot happen for a month after the send. Plan for it: a round trip is a month-long favour, not an afternoon.

Affinity. Both legs are trades, so both need the level the form requires. An evolved regional form on the way back may need level 4 where the basic form only needed level 2.

How a round trip works here

On Aniimo Trade a round trip is its own kind of trade with its own checklist: proposed, accepted, sent, returned, done. The lender ticks sent when they hand the creature over; the borrower ticks returned when it goes back; both confirm at the end.

Two protections sit around it, because the game offers none:

  • Borrowing needs a record. You can only ask to borrow after two completed swaps, both confirmed by the other side.
  • A lender can report a default. If it does not come back, the lender marks the trade not returned. That count is shown on the borrower's profile and on every ticket they appear on.

Before you lend

Check the borrower's completed trades and whether they have any not-returned marks. Agree in chat on the date the lock ends. And keep a second copy of anything you would hate to lose, because a favour is still a risk.

Questions

Can you evolve Aniimo by trading?
Beta players reported that some evolutions happen through, or are helped by, trading. The reliable version is the round trip - a friend evolves your creature and trades it back.
What is a round trip?
You lend an Aniimo to a friend, they evolve it, and they trade it back to you. Both of you keep your own creatures and one of them is now evolved.
Is a round trip safe?
Nothing in the game forces the return. On Aniimo Trade, borrowing is only open to players with two completed swaps, and a lender can mark a trade not returned, which stays on the borrower's record.
